Hensel

Charlie Hensel is a Canadian dancer, actor, and singer who is deeply committed to contributing to her artistic communities both on stage and behind the scenes. A recent graduate of St. Lawrence College’s Musical Theatre Performance program and Queen’s University’s DAN School of Drama & Music.

 

Charlie trained as a competitive dancer for 10 years and post graduation continues to take acting, dance, and voice lessons. Always seeking opportunities to grow and refine her craft.

With a genuine love of collaboration, Charlie is passionate about learning from every department she works alongside. Throughout her education and professional experiences, she has explored many facets of the entertainment industry. While at university, she expanded her horizons by stepping into roles beyond performance, including lighting, costume and set design, technical direction, crew leadership, and serving as Publicity Chair for Queen’s Musical Theatre. These experiences have given her a well-rounded understanding of the production process and have shaped her into a thoughtful performer who is highly aware of how to support and uplift every department involved in bringing a story to life.

Originally from the small town of St. Marys, Ontario, a community of 8,000 with no local drama classes.  Charlie is especially grateful to her parents, who drove her to countless lessons and rehearsals, and continue to support her dreams.
